Speech Writing.

What is Speech?

Speech Writing is a way of conveying our message, thoughts, and ideas to the audience or the readers through words with correct expression and pronunciation. It's a formal address that is delivered to the audience or readers. Everything in the world has a Purposed. Speech writing is an exemption to it. Speech Writing is written for, to inform, to convince, to persuade, or to entertain the audience/people/readers. Hence we must be clear about the purpose of speech writing as the same clarity will help us to choose the style and vocabulary.

Speech on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadhur Shatri Jayanti 2023.

Honorable Principal, respected teachers, and my dear friends, Its my great privilege that I have got an opportunity to speak before this honorable gathering about 'two great souls of our nation.
"Be the change that you wish to see in the world." These profound words by Mahatma Gandhi encapsulate the essence of the occasion we gather to celebrate today, Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti. I stand before you as a college student, humbled and inspired by the great soul who continues to guide us with his principles of truth, non-violence, and justice. Before I delve into the significance of Mahatma Gandhi's legacy and his message, I would also like to take this opportunity to remember another remarkable leader - Lal Bahadur Shastri, whose birth anniversary we also commemorate today. Shastri Ji's simplicity, dedication, and his rallying cry of "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan" resonate with us as we strive for a better India.Today, as we remember these iconic leaders, it is vital to recognize the global status of our country, India. India has made significant strides in various fields, from technology and innovation to space exploration and education. Our youth, like us, are leading the charge on the global stage, showcasing our nation's potential and power. However, let us not forget the challenges that still exist. Poverty, inequality, and environmental concerns persist. Mahatma Gandhi's teachings remind us that true progress lies not just in material growth but also in the upliftment of the marginalized, the preservation of our environment, and the promotion of peace and harmony.

It's essential to acknowledge Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for "Swachh Bharat Abhiyan" or the Clean India Mission. As responsible citizens and college students, we must heed this call and actively participate in initiatives that aim to keep our nation clean and green. Mahatma Gandhi's teachings of cleanliness and hygiene are as relevant today as they were during his time.Let us take this opportunity to join hands with fellow citizens, schools, colleges, and communities to make our surroundings clean and hygienic. By participating in "Shramdan" and contributing our efforts, we honor Mahatma Gandhi's legacy and work towards a cleaner, healthier, and more beautiful India. In the spirit of unity and progress, let us embrace the values of Mahatma Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri, and the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as we strive for a Swachh and Samriddh Bharat (Clean and Prosperous India).

As college students, we have a unique role to play in shaping the future of our nation. We must carry forward the torch of Gandhiji's values and Shastri Ji's principles, advocating for positive change in our society. We must stand up against injustice, discrimination, and violence, always choosing the path of non-violence and truth. In the hallowed halls of our college, we owe a debt of gratitude to our Principal, our dedicated teachers, and the entire staff who work tirelessly to nurture our minds. They provide us with the knowledge and wisdom needed to contribute meaningfully to our country's growth.

I'd like to conclude with another beautiful quote by Mahatma Gandhi:
"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others."
Let us embrace this philosophy, as we remember Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri today, and commit ourselves to be the change-makers our nation needs. Together, we can build a stronger, more just, and more peaceful India.Thank you, and Jai Hind!

Imagine you have taken part in an elocution competition. You have selected the topic "Nature-our true teacher". Draft a speech in about 100/150 words that you wish to deliver before the audience.

Expected Answer.

Honorable chairperson, respected teachers, and my dear friends, I am extremely honored to have such a great opportunity to speak before this honorable gathering about 'Nature our true teacher.'

"Nature is our greatest teacher, of surrender, of allowing, of simply being. Every blade of grass, every flower, every tree remembers. This moment. This present. This is where life is".

Rightly said by Alexandra Donelle.

Our ancestors had been worshiping nature and learned lessons of life from it. Each Object of nature has something to teach us that's why we call nature our true teacher in life. The rain is known for breaking from the heat, it bestows life on the earth and helps the crops grow. It's an incarnation of water that is known for adjustment the water changes its form as per the command of air and sunlight. It's managed according to the situation despite having such great power it does not have an ego.

The tree teaches us the helping nature in life as trees are the best donors in the world as they keep giving something or the other to humans. We also that virtues like patience, forgiveness, and generosity must have come from observing the trees.

The river keeps the balance of the ecosystem in the world. It is the giver of life to many things on the earth. It makes the way through the mountains and hills, and it also teaches how to overcome obstacles in life.

There is nobody on earth who can claim to know how many treasures the seas contain in their depths. The sea is peaceful and humble despite our richness and, remaining nine within our limits almost always should be the most important lesson that we can learn from the sea.

The fields are sometimes barren and without crops but with the changing of the season they come to life again teaching us not to lose hope.

No one is as great and true a teacher in life as nature.

I am thankful to the organizers for allowing me to express my views. I am also thankful to the audience for listening carefully.

I would like to end my day with the quote.

Divinity exists in all aspects of life. When we are aware of ourselves, we become aware of God in all, big or small. We then learn to live life well. We become complete.

Jay hind jay Maharashtra.

Honorable guests, respected teachers, and my dear friends, I am extremely honored to have such a great opportunity to speak before this honorable gathering about 'National Science Day.

National Science Day is celebrated on February 28 every year across India. But do you know why we celebrate this day? National Science Day commemorates the invention of the 'Raman Effect' by the great Indian physicist, Sir Chandrashekhar Venkata Raman. Sir Raman, on this same date, invented the Raman Effect in the year 1928. For his contribution to the field of science, Sir Raman was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in the year 1930. By celebrating this day as National Science Day, we show our dignity and respect to the famous Indian physicist for his contribution to the field of Science.

Sir CV Raman was born on November 7, 1888, in Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu. His father was a lecturer in Physics and math. He studied at St Aloysius Anglo-Indian High School, Visakhapatnam, and Presidency College, Madras. In 1904, he obtained a BSC degree from the University of Madras, where he stood first and won the gold medal in Physics. In 1907, he completed an MSc degree at the University of Madras with the highest distinction. From 1907 to 1933, he worked in Kolkata at the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, researching various topics in Physics. On February 28, 1928, Raman led an experiment with Indian physicist KS Krishnan, on the scattering of light, when he discovered what now is called the Raman effect. Raman Effect explains the effect on the scattering of light when passing through different materials. After his retirement, Raman established the Raman Research Institute in Bangalore. Raman passed away on November 21, 1970. The main objective of National Science Day is to bring awareness to people about the importance of science in our daily life and to encourage people by popularizing Science and Technology. Every year, the day is celebrated with a particular theme. This year's (2022) theme is The theme for NSD 2022 is Integrated Approach in science and technology for Sustainable Future. Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh launched this theme, highlighting a fold-integrated approach for science and technology for a sustainable future.

As students, it is our responsibility to honor the great man and his invention, by contributing greatly to the field of science through innovation. I wish all the science enthusiasts the very best to enhance their scientific zeal!

Speech writing on Gandhi Jayanti

Very good morning to one and all present here today. Honorable principal, respected teachers, and my dear friends, today on 2nd October we are present here to celebrate the birth anniversaries of two great personalities of our nation i.e Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born on 2nd October 1869 at Porbandar in Gujrat. He had completed his education at Bhavnagar. Then he went to the United Kingdom to become a barrister. He completed his law in 1888 and went to South Africa for practice. At that time our country was ruled by the British, and the people were treated brutally by the British. His political Guru was Gopal Krishna Gokhale called Gandhiji back to our nation. So Gandhiji decided to give up his practice as a lawyer and come back to India and fight for the Indian's freedom. He became the president of the Indian National Congress in 1920 after the death of Lokmanya Tilak. He led many movements, such as non -the cooperation movement (1920), Dandi March (Salt Satyagraha) under the movement Civil Disobedience (1930), the Quit-India movement (1942), and so on. He fought against the British by using his powerful weapons, truth, and non-violence. So, he was called the devotee of truth and non-violence. In his honor, United Nations General Assembly announced 2nd October as the International world non-violence day on 15th June 2007.

He was an Indian Lawyer, anti-colonial nationalist, ethicist, social reformer, and a great writer. "My Experiments with Truth" was his autobiography. He also started two newspapers named Harijan and Young India. He advocated a cleanliness drive. He tried to eradicate the untouchability custom and other evils from Indian society.

He advocated the use of swadeshi goods and Khaadi. Simple living and high thinking were his mottoes. He gave the lesson of self-reliance. He acted as he spoke. He also committed mistakes like theft and telling lies in his childhood but he confessed his guilt. This fact is also mentioned in his autobiography. It shows that he was a devotee of truth. On seeing his life and work, we get many moral lessons. He fraught for freedom and make our nation free from British rule. So the song has rightly described the fact

"De di hame aazadi, Bina khadag Bina dhal, Sabarmati ke Sant tune kardiya kamal"

Such a great person was assassinated on 30th January 1948 in New Delhi by Nathuram Godse.

The second eminent personality before us whose stature might not be big but the fame is beyond comparison is Lal Bahadur Shastri He was born on 2nd October 1904 in Mughalsarai, Utter Pradesh.

His father was Sharada Prasad Shrivastava and his mother was Ramdulari Devi. And his surname was Shrivastava. He graduated with the title of Shastri which means scholar in the scriptures. It was part of his bachelor's degree award. But this title got into his name and he was known as Lal Bahadur Shastri. He completed his graduation from Kashi (Varanasi) University.

He had a great influence on Mahatma Gandhi. He became a life member of Lok Seva Mandal founded by Lala Lajpat Rai. He started to work for the upliftment of society. The slogan Jai Javan, Jai Kisan was coined by him to encourage the two great soldiers of our nation, one who fights on the border and who fights on-farm that is a farmer. Jawan protects us and the farmer provides food for us. So these two people are important to us.

He became the second prime minister of India after Nehruji. He promoted the white revolution to increase the production and supply of milk. He also promoted the Green Revolution. He was imprisoned several times. He was a man of inner strength, humble and tolerant. He had a vision of the Nation's progress. He was a great politician. Such a versatile person passed away on 11th January 1966 at the age of 61, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

These two personalities' lives and work are an inspiration for all of us. I would like to thank the organizers for allowing me to express I conclude my speech by paying my tribute to these two true leaders i.e Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Jai Hind, Jai Bharat.

Speech Writing on 'The World Environment Day

On the occasion of World Environment Day, 5th June.πŸŒπŸ’§πŸŒ²πŸŒ³

Good morning to the excellencies, respected Principal, my colleagues, and my dear students, we celebrate various days to commemorate the events and some honorable personalities. Likewise, we also celebrate World  Environment Day every year on the 5th of June. This day was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1972. Two years later means in 1974 the first World Environment Day was held.

Friends, we all are familiar with the work environment. What does environment mean? Yes, environment means the surroundings or conditions in which we, human beings, animals, birds, and plants live.

The term environment has been derived from the French word *Environia* which means to surround. The environment consists of both biotic (human beings, animals, birds, and plants means living and abiotic means non-living (soil, air, water, solar energy, etc ).In short, the environment is the surrounding in which we live. World environment day is celebrated to promote ways to improve the earth's environment and to solve environmental issues.

Today, we see the degradation of the environment. Who is responsible for this degradation? Of course, man is responsible for all these adverse changes in the environment. Man is a selfish animal and for the sake of his benefit, he cuts the trees. The cutting of trees affects rainfall. The rainfall affects the availability of underground water as well as land water. It also affects the growth of crops. Deforestation also affects the existence of wild animals. Today, we find that many species of animals and plants are extinct. It also affects the temperature of the atmosphere. The layer of ozone gas is decreasing and carbon dioxide and other gases are increasing. The concrete jungle is increasing due to urbanization. Industrialization. And the increase in the number of vehicles causes various sorts of pollution. A problem like global warming is created.

On seeing this adverse effect on the environment, we should be aware of it and make others aware of it. As responsible citizens, we must protect our earth. If you save the earth, we will save our life. Our small acts can be helpful for the protection of Earth. Remember the seven

R 5 i.e Refuse, Repair, Recycle, Reject, Renew, and Resolve. Water and electricity are the national wealth. So, we must save t. We should develop the concept of 'Rain Water Harvesting. We should switch off unwanted electrical gadgets. We should go on foot where is the walkable distance and save fuel. There are so many things that we can do for the protection of the environment. Friends,

the most important thing we get from trees is oxygen. We can not survive without I t. So we should stop cutting down trees and plant trees.

At last, I would say  'Save our environment, save our planet Earth.

'Protect our Earth today for our children tomorrow.'

If we protect our environment, it will be the true celebration of 'World Environment Day.

And don't celebrate this day only on 5th June but it should be celebrated every day by protecting the environment.

I hope you will do so.

Thank you.πŸ™
